Decide what you are going to ask your kitchen table guests.
As we will compile a report on people’s answers to these questions, we ask you to stick to them and to ask all of them, although you can vary the language slightly if you think that would work better. And of course you and the other participants can ask questions to clarify what people are saying.
[Questions still to be done.]
About 15 minutes from the end of the two hours, draw the main discussion to a close and:
- Invite and encourage participants to run their own conversation with another group of people they know. This is an important way of making new conversations happen, so invite questions and discussion on this for a few minutes.
- Invite and encourage participants to get together with others in their Federal electorate to discuss how they might achieve better representation for the electorate. They can then, if they choose, start an electorate action group.
