Democracy works best when people talk, sharing with each other their stories, their ideas, their concerns and their dreams. And then sharing these with those in a position to take action on what it is people want.
This is one of a range of things that electorate action groups can help to generate. By encouraging people to gather together and have kitchen table conversations, and then turning what is said in these conversations into a report that can be given to the local MP and other candidates, and made available to everyone in the electorate, groups can help to inform our democracy, to make it something closer to the will of the people.
We invite you to join a kitchen table conversation in your electorate so that your voice will be one of those heard.
